I found today that I really like the free writing at the beginning and end of classes. At first, I didn’t see the point of them, but now I found them, not necessarily all that important, but helpful in the way that they get my mind going for the day. It’s easier to write down and explore thoughts when you have something to start the momentum in your brain. I did have trouble with my essay this time, as I think I stated in my last blog. I wasn’t quite sure how we were suppose to write this example essay but I think after I got going, the meaning became clearer. I would still like some feedback from Professor Logan on the rough draft that we turned in on Wednesday. I think it would be really helpful to making, at least my essay, a better one. I think that if I knew that my essay was written in some form of the correct way, I would feel better about it. Other than that though, I had a lot of fun writting my essay. It took a while to figure out how I wanted to start it but after just jotting some things down, the words begin to come to you and I figured it out. I wasn’t sure if, since this was an example essay, if we were able to use “you” in there so I tried my best to avoid it but oh well. I also like the fact that we dicuss the readings in class. Its really interesting hearing what other people would say instead of my own opinion which happens in so many other classes, but I suppose that’s how college works.
